Sunday mornings:The congregation of
Crossroads Presbyterian Church worships each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Our
worship service is traditional, with an inclusive and welcoming
atmosphere. The sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated on the
first Sunday of each month. On the fourth Sunday of each month we
incorporate different elements, such as special music, dialogue
sermons, or drama, into worship.
Children of all ages are welcome in our
worship service. Each week the pastor invites the children forward for
a children's talk before the sermon. Following the children's talk,
preschoolers and younger elementary students may sit with their
families, or may play in the supervised activity center. Children's
activity bulletins, books, and crayons are provided. Nursery care for
infants and toddlers is available all morning.
The coffee and fellowship hour follows the worship service at 11:00 a.m.
Christian Education classes for children,
youth, and adults meet at 11:15 a.m. The curriculum for our children
and youth is designed especially for our congregation. The adult class
features speakers from the community, short-term Bible studies, and
topical discussions.
Our choir, under the leadership of Nancy Thomas,
meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 (September - May) for rehearsal.
Everyone who enjoys singing is welcome to join the choir. Nancy Thomas
leads a group of student instrumentalists in rehearsals and worship
participation.
Presbyterian Women meet at 10:00 a.m. the
first Tuesday of the month (September through May) for Bible study.
The evening Bible study class meets twice a month, by
arrangement with participants, and is open to all members and friends.
The schedule is available through the church office.
The Prayer Shawl Knitting Group gathers once a month
to work on shawls for members of our church and community. This month's
meeting is listed on the church calendar.
Prayer group meets the second Tuesday of
the month, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to join us.
Youth fellowship group meets every other
Sunday evening for fun, food, and fellowship. See the
“Youth” page for more information, or contact Rev. Anne
Fuhrmeister.
Our church newsletter is the Koinonia (a Greek word
meaning “fellowship”). It is published monthly (except for
the July/August issue). Please contact the church office if you would
